☾ SnoreWatch — End User License Agreement

Last updated: 29 September 2026

1. What this covers

SnoreWatch detects snoring sounds and plays an audible alarm. It comes in two forms, and this agreement covers both:

Both are provided free of charge by auto-machines.com.

2. Not a medical device

SnoreWatch is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition, including sleep apnoea. Detection may be inaccurate — it can miss snoring or trigger on unrelated sounds. If you suspect a sleep disorder, consult a qualified physician. Do not rely on SnoreWatch in either form for any health or safety-critical purpose.

3. Privacy

In both forms, audio is processed entirely on your own device. No audio is recorded, stored, transmitted, or uploaded to any server.

4. License

The Android app's source code is published under the MIT license, which governs your rights in that code — including copying it, modifying it, redistributing it, and using it commercially. The APK offered here is a build of that source, and nothing in this agreement narrows those rights. Where this agreement and the MIT license differ as to the app's code, the MIT license governs.

The browser tool and the pages of this site are not published under the MIT license. For them you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the tool for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, reverse engineer, or misrepresent the browser tool or its output.

5. Provided "as is"

SnoreWatch is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the publisher of SnoreWatch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost sleep, alarm failures, or false alarms — arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, SnoreWatch in either form.

7. Third-party components

Both forms of SnoreWatch use Google's YAMNet audio classification model (Apache-2.0). The browser tool runs it through MediaPipe Tasks (Apache-2.0); the Android app runs it through the TensorFlow Lite Task Library (Apache-2.0). In both cases the model runs locally on your device.

8. Changes

This agreement may be updated from time to time; the current version is always available at this URL. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

By using SnoreWatch you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the tool.
